Product Line Manager

The Product Line Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The PLMs job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

The Product Line Manager is expected to:

  • Act as the leader and primary spokesperson for the product line
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Perform product demos to customers
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  • Deliver a monthly revenue forecast
  • Develop sales tools and collateral
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success
  • Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
  • Brief press and analysts and go on press tours

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager
  • 10+ years in the embedded software, semiconductor, Enterprise Networking or M2M/IoT Platforms area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science, MBA preferred
  • Technical background, with experience in Computer Networking, Cellular, Wi-Fi/BT M2M Technologies, IOT, Enterprise Application Integration
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 30-40% of the time
  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective new product delivered in the past

Test Automation Manager

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for a  test automation strategy and implement it across projects, driving quality and efficiency

Strategic Sourcing Manager

Under the general supervision of the Director of Supply Demand, manages critical supplier relationships to provide a continuous supply status of all required materials within cost and quality parameters to best serve the manufacturing requirements and objectives of Lantronix.  Assess supplier capabilities in areas of
process technology, capacity planning, cost/performance, and long-term relationship.

Responsibilities  

  • Coordinates and acts as an escalation path for purchasing activities with manufacturing,
    planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost-effective
    and timely manner.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews as required.
  • Establish QBR metrics, cost/delivery improvement plans, PPV and contract dispute
    resolution
  • Manage and update supplier performance metrics.
  • Responsible to negotiate all price reduction and lead-time reduction activities
  • Selects vendors and places purchase orders, ensuring effective negotiation of terms,
    price and delivery.
  • Participate in regular NPI meetings
  • Manage new product introduction including establishing Supply Chain and First Article
    qualification and transfer to manufacturing facilities.
  • Responsible for releasing NPI build blanket purchase orders, sale of components to CM, and
    purchase order and inventory reconciliation and maintenance.
  • Able to gather QBR metrics, delivery improvement plans, track and monitor purchase
    price variance and contract dispute resolution
  • Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontractors for the highest quality at
    best value.
  • Conducts negotiation with primary and secondary suppliers regarding long-term security
    of supply, capacity assurance, risk management, and process change
    notifications through to product end of life.
  • Interacts closely with subcontract suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues; works with
    management to address all aspects of subcontract management, including
    procurement support, industry trends assessment, pricing audit, ensure timely
    purchase order releases and product availability.
  • Implementation of latest approved pricing and address all price discrepancies.
  • International travel 20%-25%
  • BS  or BA degree is required or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Management, Material Control and the management of subcontractor relationships. Experience developing suppliers and supplier selections processes, working together with technical staff.

 Education, Skills and Competencies 

  • 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a high-tech environment

Regional Sales Manager

Territory:                      US Western Region

The Regional Sales Manager will manage and lead sales activities for Lantronix to End User, Value Added Reseller (VAR), and distributor accounts within the defined territory above.   The position is responsible for the development of the sales within the region and execution of territory plans.  The Regional Sales Manager candidate must have sales experience in IT Management sales within various markets.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)

  • Meet or exceed all quarterly objectives for assigned geographical area in sales and design wins
  • Maintain a significant opportunity pipeline to assure success and on-going growth for the region
  • Sales and consulting as related to the integration of Lantronix networking and connectivity technology with mid- and large-corporations
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans for short and long term objectives
  • Develop detailed knowledge of the customers within the region and communicate requirements
  • Develop key relationships (at all appropriate levels) with strategic accounts and distributors

  • Coordinate with product marketing on the development of short and long-term sales strategies, product introductions, new products and features, etc.
  • Establish and manage relationships with cross functional departments within Lantronix for product fulfillment, customer service, pricing, etc.
  • Provide timely information on competitive activities within the region and overall market place
  • Oversee the weekly sales reporting processes and present information to all levels of management
  • Use SalesForce.com (SFDC) as a sales tracking and forecasting tool
  • Oversee the Design-Win and Design Win Registration processes for assigned geographical area
  • Travel requirements are approximately 50% of the work time for travel within the territory

Education, Skills and Competencies

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or a B.A. with a minimum of 3-years work experience in a multi-tiered, technical selling environment, including but not limited to the selling of both software and hardware products or equivalent.
  • Must have experience with End User Sales into IT Management space and other vertical markets served by Lantronix
  • Knowledge of wired and wireless networking technology, 802.3, 801.11, and/or cellular is desired
  • Knowledge in M2M requirements and applications
  • Must be able to accurately reflect customer’s business and technical requirements for design win success
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with a CRM tool (ie SalesForce.Com)
  • The ability to interface with internal and external customers, distributors, sales representatives,  and cross functional support groups within Lantronix
  • Highly organized with solid time management & strong multitasking skills
  • Prior experience with multiple sales channels including Direct, Distribution, and VARs
